Final Reflection

Final Reflection

Wow! What a roller coaster of a semester! For me, the semester started off super rough, but over time it got better and better.
I think one of the most memorable part of the semester was walking around and giving random people dollar bills! It was very interesting to see all the different reactions. Honestly, I think the most joyful moment in the semester for me was when I finally came up with an idea for an opportunity I wanted to exploit. I thought long and hard on this topic for almost an entire week, and when I finally thought of something, I literally rejoiced!
When I started this class, I knew it would be a challenge, because I would literally have to transform the way I think. Overall, looking back I think my overall mindset towards entrepreneurship has changed. I do believe that I think more like an entrepreneur more now than I ever have! As said above, it was tough at first but little by little you start to get the hang of it.
The biggest piece of advice that I would give someone taking this course would be to work ahead! I missed a few assignments throughout the semester, and the only reason why I missed them, was because I decided to turn the men last minute, and something went wrong at the last minute and it didn’t work out. Also, I would tell individuals taking this class that trading your mind to think different is no small task, but it is very possible. Do not give up during the first two weeks what it seems that you cannot conjure up a single thought, but instead keep fighting and you will see victories through your perseverance.

  1. Hey Austin! I feel the same way as you! I started off this course feeling as though the assignment structure was a little weird, however i quickly found the rhythm of the course, and now I love the way it structured! Regarding your belief that leaving things to the last minute can cost you grade points, I totally agree. I have a bad habit of leaving things to the last minute as well, and as a result, I have missed some points unnecessarily. hopefully those points won't cost me my grade, however I would agree with your advice to other students. Don't leave things until the last minute!

  2. Hey Austin, I too think that a huge part of this course is about getting assignments in on time. This course helped me manage my time better and it help me with working ahead on assignments. I too had a rough start to the semester, I got back on track during the third week but I missed about ten points early. This class creates good habits and it is a cool way to figure out what we are truly interested in. Great job this semester and keep up the good work.
