Elevator Pitch No. 3

Elevator Pitch No. 3

Overall, feedback from my last post was pretty good. On the other hand, I can sometimes be a little critical of myself, so I did notice some areas that i could work on. Last post, I think I stumbled over my words a bit, and overall I don't think I was very calculated in what I said. Thankfully, i improved greatly in this post in regards to my word selection, and in the way I delivered them. Also, in this post I felt a lot more comfortable in front of the camera. Overall, I think I am growing a lot in my elevator pitch, and I believe with a little more practice I could pitch this to a room full of bigwigs and business men/women. For the most part, I have always been comfortable with public speaking, but it is a little weird sometimes speaking to a camera with no audience. It's almost as if I don't take it as serious, because I don't see what's at stake staring me in my face.

  1. Hey Austin, great elevator pitch! The pitch was persuasive and energetic. I think you have a great idea as well. I think you have improved since the first elevator pitch. I think the whole point of doing these pitches multiple times is practice and improve. The delivery was good and I the received the message. I think for a last pitch, you did well. Great job!

  2. Hey Austin! Major enthusiasum and projection man! Great Job! You definitely don't look like you have much of an issue with the camera, as many (including myself) do. I personally find a disparity between the way I perform in front of an audience vs. the way I perform in front of the camera. For me, it is slightly more difficult to get in tune with an audience which is not there at the moment.
As far as improvement, You should try to film your pitch in an area where you have some space for nonverbal communication. I am excited to see how your personality shows through when you are standing up in front of the camera. I think that is the missing piece to your pitch right now. Otherwise, great job!
